January 23 through 29 is National Activity Professionals Week. At UMRC & Porter Hills, we know how important our Life Enrichment team members are to enhancing the care and well-being of the older adults we serve.
Did You Know? UMRC & Porter Hills five PACE sites (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) help nearly 1,000 low-income, nursing home-eligible older adults each year, across 15 counties, to live independently in their own homes and communities. These include Huron Valley PACE in Ypsilanti, Thome PACE in Jackson, Senior CommUnity Care of Michigan in Lansing, and LifeCircles PACE with locations in Muskegon and Holland.
The National PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Association (NPA) has designated September as National PACE Month, an opportunity to celebrate the work of PACE nationwide. This yearâs theme of âLiving at Home: Your Goal, Our Priorityâ sums up the purpose of PACE â to help nursing-home eligible older adults remain living independently in their home and community for as long as possible.
UMRC & Porter Hills’ Five PACE sites serve nearly 1,000 older Michiganders annually.
