Celebrating Love at Any Age: Valentine’s Day Fun for All

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for the young—it’s a perfect opportunity for adults of all ages to celebrate love, companionship, and gratitude. If you’re hoping to celebrate with a spouse, friend, or any kind of loved ones, here are some fun ways to enjoy the day:

For Couples:

  1. Recreate your first date, even if it is just reminiscing!
  2. Take a cooking class together or prepare a new dish together at home.
  3. Attend dance lessons or a dance event.
  4. Frame a favorite recent picture together to give as a gift.

At Your Brio Living Services Location:

  1. Host a Valentine’s-themed social gathering; there are friends all around you!
  2. Organize group craft sessions like card-making. Most Brio Living Services communities and locations have the perfect spaces for these kinds of activities!
  3. Have a classic romance movie day:

-Click here for a list of some of the best romance movies of all time!

4. Arrange a Valentine’s Day trivia or game night:

-Here is some fun and easy Valetine’s Day trivia!

Celebrate On Your Own:

  1. Treat yourself to a self-care day; get your nails done, a massage, or even a facial! You deserve it.
  2. Volunteer at local charities. This could be a church, animal shelter, local Meals on Wheels, and many more!
  3. Host a “Galentine’s” or “Palentine’s” gathering for friends.
  4. Take a day trip to a nearby attraction; try something new and local!

Connecting with Loved Ones:

  1. Make video calls to family members on Skype or Facetime. If you are not able to do that, a simple text message to let someone know you care will go a long way.
  2. Create personalized photo albums or scrapbooks. Take the time to go through them together to spark fond memories!
  3. Send handwritten cards; many of your loved ones probably don’t receive many of these anymore!
  4. Learn about famous couples in history. Click here for a list! Compare with your loved ones who know each of the couples.

Chef’s Kiss: Click Below to Try a New Recipe!

  1. Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Kiss
  2. Mixed-Berry Sundaes
  3. Heart’s Desire Pizza
  4. Marry Me Chicken

Remember, Valentine’s Day is about celebrating all forms of love. Whether that is self-love, spending time with friends, or with your special someone, there is always room to appreciate one another and have gratitude. Embrace the spirit of love and connection this Valentine’s Day!
