Brio Living Services 2nd Annual Softball Game Brings Together Team Members Across Michigan
Softball Game and Team Member Meet and Greet to be held on June 3, 2023.
It’s almost that time of year again—time for the annual Brio Living Services shore-to-shore Softball Game and Team Member Meet and Greet! This unique event will be held on Saturday, June 3, and will bring team members from all over Michigan together for some friendly competition. Not only is this an opportunity to get to know peers, but it promises to be a fun and family-friendly event as well.
Last year, the first annual Brio softball game brought almost 60 team members to a local park in Haslett, a middle point for our locations across the state. The game will return to the same park this year as Brio is prepared to host even more team members and their families, having opened the event as not just a game, but a chance to get better acquainted as well. Players will receive special shirts, and all attendees will have the opportunity to play or cheer during the game, utilize the park amenities, play yard games, and win giveaways! Snacks and refreshments will also be served.
Jessica Finley, Benefits & Wellness Manager at Brio Living Services, is passionate about what this event truly means for the team members in the organization. “Our main goal is to connect everyone with conversations that involve anything EXCEPT work,” said Jessica. “It’s nice for us to get together and enjoy each other’s company outside of deadlines and tasks. This is a day where we can all come together with one goal in mind—reconnect and have some fun!”
Rachael Commeret, Brio Living Services Executive Assistant and one of the team captains, was not able to attend last year, and is excited to join the fun this year. She shared, “As a Wellness Champion for Brio, I wanted to see how diverse of a team I could put together and help encourage new people to come to the event. I managed to bring together folks from seven different locations to form our team! I am looking forward to not only the game but meeting new team members and team members’ families. A little friendly competition is always nice!”
Human Resources Business Partner, Adam Kipfmiller, is the opposing team captain for the second year, and he is also not shying away from the friendly competition! He states, “We won last year and are looking to repeat!” Aside from the rivalry, he is looking forward to socializing with the Brio Living Services team. “It’s an awesome event, and I encourage everyone to come out if you can!” Adam said.
There is still time to join a team or bring your family to enjoy the day. No softball experience is necessary, and a T-shirt will be provided! Please reach out to Jessica Finley at JFinley@MyBrio.org if you’d like to attend or to learn more.
